"Stay on the path," Daddy warned us all as we started to skip ahead on the path at Elephant Rocks. And with that warning ringing in our heads, we started to climb a rock that was on the side of the path. Then we got down and hid in the brush and waited for the adults to come along so that we could jump out and surprise them. The adults were slow in coming and when they did come, they wanted to do a headcount so we lined up and they found that one was missing. And that one was Patience. We didn't dare go any further without her. We started looking and calling and looking and calling and looking and calling . . . and finally we found her in the
cleft of a rock near the parking lot. "I thought there were some child-stealers," she said tearfully, "and so I hid right here."
Well, that was an adventure! We need God to help us to stay on the path.
HI Alethia, I enjoyed your post. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of hiding under the shadow of His wings...
ReplyDeletealso the song..."He hides my soul in the cleft of the rock,
and covers me there with His Hand...."
Thanks for sharing this lesson! What an adventure!:)
Was that the time we were there at Elephant Rocks with you all? I remember being frightened a lot when we discovered that PJ and Skyler were both gone. And -- being frightened by the fact that we were so close to sliding off the cliff with some loose gravel!! It certainly WAS an adventure, wasn't it, Aletheia?
